Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every morning I open my classroom door to find 22 eager and enthusiastic children waiting to come in and begin the next adventure in first grade. They all come to me from economically disadvantaged homes, many having only the basic necessities needed to survive. My school is located in a high poverty, low socioeconomic neighborhood and all of the students are on the free lunch program. School is a safe and positive place for my students and I strive to help them grow into the best little people they can be.
My Project
These Chromebooks will allow my students to access many wonderful online learning sites. The students will be using the Chromebooks for reading and math. Additionally, they will be practicing their keyboarding skills. Every opportunity to learn while using technology benefits the students in so many ways.
Having access to today's technology is crucial to succeeding in our technological world.
With these new Chromebooks my students will be able to learn vital first grade standards in a fun and challenging way. With technology so intricately woven into our society, a student can not start learning how to use technology soon enough!
