My students are the best.

Many of them face obstacles every single morning just to get to school, and yet everyday, they are here. They are from all different backgrounds and it's beautiful. Watching them melt together and learn gives me faith in humanity. They are so smart and capable, and with the right resources, they will take on the world.

My Project

In my classroom, we love technology. It is the door to the modern world. It is a discovery tool that helps promote self learning. Laptops in my classroom would allow my students to engage in "Internet scavenger hunts" and work together on projects through Google Classroom. I will no longer "give" them notes on a topic. Instead, they will discover everything they need to know and more about US History. Technology is no longer the future, it is the now. Without the resources in my classroom, my students will be left behind through no fault of their own.

Donations to this project will make a huge difference in my students' lives.

They will gain a sense of responsibility when they are entrusted with a piece of technology. They will feel empowered when they discover the answer to a question. They will feel included when they can see their own contribution to a group project. Technology is not the teacher, but like it was beautifully stated earlier, it is the transportation to learning.
