This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher, my students are very intelligent and creative. They absolutely love doing hands-on projects. My students tell me every day that when they have more projects that are hands-on they feel they can be more creative and it helps them stay engaged in the learning process.
This is our first year having a STEM program at our school and the students are very excited!
My students love to be challenged daily. They love all types of technology and building different things. Each of my students come in daily ready to learn new things. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies to make sure that each of my students learning needs is met. They are a wonderful group of students that I have truly enjoyed getting to know and teaching each one of them.
My Project
My students are dreaming of a 3D printer to use in my STEM lab. This would allow all of my students to let their creative juices flow. The 3D printer will be used to make their ideas come to life. The students will be able to think outside of the box when it comes to printing their ideas.
With this 3D printer my students would be able to design and make their own marble run instead of using toilet paper rolls.
This would give my students an opportunity to use tools they have never used before. I have done extensive research and this 3D printer would fit my students' needs. I truly need your support to make this happen for my students.
