As the oldest school in our district, operating this long, we do our best to focus on the fundamentals of learning while adapting to the best practices developed over the past century.
My students come first!
Every student is different and learns in different ways. With that being said, I want my students to have what is best for them in my classroom. I want my students to have a flexible and movable environment to work.
Students learn better when they are comfortable in their environment. If students have the ability to move around and expend energy this can help. I want to give my student what they deserve and an environment to help them learn.
My Project
Kindergarten students in general have a lot of energy! These chairs and bouncy bands are a way for them to be able to expend energy yet stay engaged in their learning tasks. Movement can help in learning, but can often be challenging to incorporate into a busy day. The seating options will heighten their ability to stay focused and attend to learning.
I want what is best for my students!
What works for one student may not work for another. I would like the students to have the opportunity to use different seating options when finding their best way to work and learn.
