Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the proud teacher of 24 of the most loving, smart, creative, and sweet kindergarten students in the world. My students love school and are ready to learn. They are hardworking individuals who want to please me and always try to do their best.

At our school, we serve a low income and predominantly Latino community.

Many of my students are English Language Learners and come from low-income families. We are a Title I school which means that all of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.

Our families are very supportive of their children and due to the pandemic we have struggled in getting the things we would like.

My Project

Help 80 students get Sit and Spin toys. The Sit and Spins will allow the boys and girls to learn different skills through play and by using their bodies. They can use their bodies to make the Sit and Spins go around and learn about velocity and rotational pull.

All children in ETK, TK, K and Special Ed will get to use the Sit and Spins at their recess and lunch time.

A total of 80 students will have the opportunity to use their bodies to learn and play. Students will learn different lessons through play and trail and error.
