My students are amazing! They are eager learners who live in a small, rural community. My students walk through the door each day ready to tackle a new adventure.
Our learning journeys enrich our lives and help my students look to a bright future.
Poverty is an issue for many students in my 3rd-5th grade building, but they do not let the worries of today hold them back from a bright tomorrow.
Our class mission is as follows: Together, we will strive to do our very best to grow as readers, scientists, writers, mathematicians, spellers, historians, and, most importantly, thinkers. We will treat each other with kindness and understanding and create within our classroom a welcoming environment for learners of all ages. We will conduct ourselves respectfully and responsibly everyday.
Technology is no longer an added bonus to occasional lessons. Now, it is the norm. The students in my classroom use their Chromebooks every day for educational games, research, projects, assignments, and so much more. With constant use comes wear and tear, and our Chromebooks are no exception. Simple things like headphone jacks and cords wearing out from frequent use can have a stifling effect on our educational process. When a student cannot "plug in" to hear the sounds on a science video or listen to an expert talk about an historical event, learning is stifled.
There is a solution though, and you can help!
Through the use of bluetooth technology, the sounds of education can always be within my students' reach. With bluetooth-enabled headphone sets, students will never again have to worry about a worn-out cord or headphone jack. Instead, they will have uninterrupted access to everything they need to hear in order to bring the world into our classroom.
