Help me give my students whiteboards, erasers, markers, books, and tools to engage in reading activities and math for guided and independent practices.
I teach first grade at a low income, Title I school in Kentwood, Michigan. Our school provides free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast to the majority of our students. Many of my students cannot afford school supplies, so I provide them each year. This gets expensive.
My students are excited about learning; however, I lack the budget and resources required to provide rigorous hands-on learning experiences.
Please help me by donating to my classroom to provide learning materials for my students to use towards their academic development and success.
My Project
My students need whiteboards, markers, and erasers to engage in guided practice and independent practice with both reading and math. Our current boards are all old and cracked and we do not have enough for every student in our class. New tools will allow for all students to engage at their individualized learning level. We also need some new books, laminating sheets, and book character props to engage learners in interactive lessons to make deeper connections. These are great for individualized, whole and small group instructional tools to enforce reading and math practices while engaging students in a variety of ways.
