Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of energetic students who are full of life. Every day, they work very hard to reach their goals.

My students come from different backgrounds in a Title I school located in South Central Los Angeles.

More than half of my students are from low-income households. My students are eager to learn and be creative every day. They are sweet, respectful, responsible, kind, happy, and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classroom. They are amazing kids who deserve the best education. I feel blessed to teach such an amazing group of students.

My Project

My preschoolers love and enjoy creating amazing school projects every day. They get very excited and happy when they start a new project.

I am requesting supplies that my students need while learning from home.

We are not allowed back into our schools until May. My students will be learning from home for at least eight weeks.

My students live in a low-income area with very little access to necessary supplies.

Therefore I am requesting materials to build At Home Learning Kits. These kits will include pencils, construction paper, glue sticks, scissors, erasers, fun arts and crafts materials, and healthy snacks. Students will be able to pick up the At Home Learning Kit from a designated area at school or parents can call and other arrangements can be made for pick up.

By having the arts and crafts supplies and snacks on hand, they will be able to learn and express themselves more effectively and create amazing art and home projects.
