My students are English learners, at-risk students, high-functioning autistic/Asperger's syndrome kids, and gifted and talented pupils. They are eager second graders who love to learn and apply their learning to real life experiences. They come from a wonderful school that contains a diverse learning community of over 1,000 students, from kindergarten through grade five. The children are from low-income families and have different learning styles and developmental needs. They need all the help they could get and hope to receive it from you.
My Project
How can simple and basic equipment such as clear plastic organizers make such a difference for students? They can motivate and help them stay organized. The children need a simple organizing tool to carry homework and important papers back and forth from school.
From the past experiences, I know that children need a device to assist them in holding lots of paperwork in an orderly fashion.
This clear plastic carrier is easy to see and sturdy for their little hands. They and their parents wouldn't have to be intimidated by a full backpack if they have this gadget. It's transparent like a sheet protector that can protect important pages from wear and tear. Many pupils often shove papers and notes inside their backpacks. So with the organizer, the homework can be safely secured and organized. Once the paper is slipped inside, I feel confident it is going to stay put.
I believe a set of basic tools like these are a great investment in the future of the young minds. It will encourage and help students organize and perform better. You will make a huge difference!
