My Students

We are a Transitional Kindergarten class full of excited early learners. We are learning how to be in school and working on skills that will help us to be successful for the rest of our school careers. We might be young, but we are hard workers, leaders, and friends.

Our school is located in the Sacramento area and is part of a district with a large and growing multicultural population.

Our school has a wide range of families and cultures. Thank you for your support.

My Project

In a classroom full of students ready to learn how to read listening to fluent readers is an important way to learn. Our classroom is extremely grateful for the recent donations through Donors Choose. However, due to teacher error we are a little short of having a complete listening center. Having a functioning listening center will help to establish good reading skills that will build the foundation for successful reading practices throughout the school careers of my young students. Students will be able to practice independence, learn print awareness, hear fluent reading, and practice comprehension while using the listening center. We would be very grateful for donations to help our classroom learn to become great readers.
