Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In Ms. Henrici's kindergarten, we are learning to read... YAY!!! BUT.....we do not have enough books to use in our classroom! Help us learn how to read by donating leveled reading books!
My classroom is made up of 22 students who are all learning how to read in kindergarten!
We are in an expanding school and now since we have added 6 classrooms, we do not have enough books to share throughout the classrooms! These books would be books that we keep in our room and could read at anytime!
My Project
In kindergarten we are learning how to read and learning to read takes a lot of practice! Leveled reading books are designed to help beginning readers learn how to read by using decodable text and predictable patterns. Many of my students are English language learners and are already learning how to read at age five or six! We want to continue our journey reading and are hoping to get more leveled reading books for our own classroom!
