My Students
I teach in an amazingly colorful title 1 school. We are located in the southern Stamford Connecticut. My school has a very large diverse population with over 50 languages spoken in the district.
Students at our school are known for thinking critically, learning to communicate effectively, and learn how to be independent thinkers and learners.
My hope for my class is give them hope and help them to realize that they can achieve anything they set their minds too and work hard.
My Project
My kindergartners are coming to school eager to learn something new each day. My hope is to use these books to add richness to our guided reading times to help the students develop their language and reading skills.
With these early reading books, my students will have the chance to practice their reading skills, while reading books they enjoy.
These books will bring joy to reading for my kindergarten students because we currently do not have books for independent reading.
Giving these future leader their first opportunity to explore more books to help expand their vocabulary and love of reading.
