My students are longing for hands-on activities to do during Reading Workshop that will allow them to work at their own pace. Getting my students excited during Reading Workshop is challenging due to lack of resources in our school.
My students are from the neighborhood that surrounds the school.
Our school houses four different types of schools in one. I want my students to have the same opportunities as those around us. They look at school as their safe place, and they are eager and ready to learn and understand the world around them.
My Project
Hands-on learning is a wonderful way to explore reading! Obtaining the, Reading and Writing Skills Game, will benefit my students as it will boost their reading and writing skills with games they will love to play! The activities will allow my students to learn and grow at their own pace. It will also give my students opportunities to learn cooperation through groups as well as learning to work independently.
Exploring reading through the, Reading and Writing Instant Learning Centers, is another great opportunity for my students to enjoy learning as they build their essential reading skills. My students will be able to complete tasks that target specific skills at their level of understanding. This will be used effectively while students are doing centers independently and in groups.
Acquiring these hands-on reading tools will allow my students to grow as learners.
My students will have the opportunity to learn and understand reading concepts as they explore and build on each specific skill.
