This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from Ohio (east of Cleveland). Being a Title I school, my students come from low-income families. My students are hard-working, adventurous, imaginative, and active! Despite all of the obstacles that have faced them in their young lives, they still work their hardest to achieve academically and socially. Seeing my students work together and in harmony is one of the most rewarding experiences as a teacher. This is truly a unique and courageous group of your students.
My Project
Hi everyone! I am a kindergarten teacher on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. My students are bright, silly, and hard-working individuals who have overcome many obstacles of the ever-changing virtual and hybrid learning styles this year. Most of my students are at the point where they have learned the basic foundations and are ready to start reading. But with one dilemma; no early reader books at home! I would love to provide each student with a set of the "Bob" books so that they can read along with me and show me their amazing literacy skills that they have been working on all year. Thank you for taking your time to look at my project and support my students. Have a wonderful holiday season!
