Learning to Be the Leaders of Tomorrow

Help me give my students some wobble chairs to help them focus throughout the day and picture books that will help teach them to be good leaders.

My Students

My students have the very unique opportunity to be in an immersion program. It is exciting and fun to watch them learn a foreign language. They come from a variety of living situations and some have some special learning needs, behavioral needs and educational needs.

As a group, are trying to become better people and leaders in and out of the classroom everyday!

My students are amazing! Covid-19 has really hindered their time in school and are behind in so many things. (Educational, social and emotional). I'm trying to integrate flexibility, leadership and character education into my daily routine. We, together, are trying to build and train the the future leaders of America.

My Project

There are so many lessons of respect, courage, grit, responsibility, friendship and so many other life lessons my students will be able to learn from reading picture books. We will read the books in class and discuss the character trait and how we can incorporate it in to their lives.

I truly believe that there are so many lessons you can from a picture book.

My students were only in second grade when Covid-19 cut their education short that year. Then we have had shortened days the past two years. I feel like they have really had so many things taken from them.

I'm trying to have some fun seating and fantastic books to share positive messages of gratitude, inspiration and leadership traits to help these students see that there is hope in the future.
