My Students are the future! They are growing and learning in the same small, tight knit, school community that inspired me to be a teacher. My students are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are artist, musicians, story tellers, world travelers, scientists, doctors, farmers, teachers. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful career.
My Project
My students would love having materials added to the workstations that are not only hands-on, exciting, and engaging, but also promote learning through fun activities. The literacy activities, like the touch & read phonics match, will support prior knowledge in the areas of rhyming, initial, middle, and ending sounds all while helping them to become confident learners and leaders! The phonemic awareness materials, like alphabet sounds teaching tubs, will help with word building, letter recognition, and phonics all while developing their cognitive and problem solving skills. The writing materials, like sentence strips and write & wipe boards, will allow for students to develop fine motor skills while practicing writing and literacy activities. All of these activities and skills are important to develop independent, lifelong learners.
