Learning through touch technology!

My students need an iPad in our classroom so they can have opportunities for hands on interactive practice with reading, mathematics, science, and social studies.

My Students

In today's world of ever growing technology often times classrooms are forgotten and children lack exposure to technology! In our classroom we would love to have opportunities to learn with an iPad in order to develop skills that we can use in the future work force.

I have the most awesome group of First Grade students that a teacher could ask for!

They are very energetic and excited about learning! My students attend a Title 1 school where our population is 78% poverty! My students do not have today's advanced technology devices in their homes or in our classroom! I know that my students would benefit from having an iPad to learn with and would be very appreciative for the opportunity!

My Project

Giving my students the opportunity to learn reading, math, science, and social studies through apps on the iPad I am requesting would open doors for them to learn how to critically think using technology. I feel that giving my students the opportunity to learn with the iPad would give them critical thinking skills that they can carry with them into the future workforce. My students are the work force of tomorrow and the iPad is the technology of the future and they need to be equipped with skills to change the world in a positive way!

I would like an iPad in my classroom so that I can help students learn critical thinking skills in all of their subject areas so that they have a better opportunity for learning and growing.

Having an iPad would also accommodate all learning styles. I think that having an iPad would open doors of opportunity for my students to learn about their world in a different, advanced, and technological way so that they are equipped with the skills they need to make a difference in the world!
