My Students

My classroom is made up of 16 Kindergartners! There are 11 boys and 5 girls in my class. We are located in a school with 50.1% being economically disadvantaged. We teach with "old school" methods with a 21st century twist that meets the needs, talents, and interests of all students.

My students are born explorers and movers that come to school willing and eager to learn every day!

They have big dreams and I have no doubt this group will do great things!

My Project

These materials will make a huge impact on the way my students learn in their classroom. The carpet in our classroom is very old and falling apart. This makes it difficult for the students to bring clipboards to the carpet to work on the floor. Most chairs in the classroom are your basic medium sized chairs at tables. I have many students who need the movement of their body and feet when sitting at a table to work.

Materials that allow them to work along with their wiggles will allow and help them learn to keep their focus despite distractions from their body.
