Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from a low-income/high poverty neighborhood. They are faced with numerous challenges both in and out of the classroom with limited access to educational resources. All of my students, based on their parents' socioeconomic status, receive free breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner (if they so choose).
My class consists of diverse learners.
Numerous students in my class are functioning below grade level with four RSP students. I would like to provide my students with more technology that would give them access to more resources, which will provide more opportunities to learn. This will open up the opportunity that is not accessible due to the limited budget we have to work with. I'd like to assist my students in closing the achievement gap.
My Project
Students will use this laptop to conduct researches, perform experiments and collect data to further their daily learning. Students will become more engaged and be more interactive with other learning communities. Students will definitely create new learning experiences and memories with this essential tool.
Students will be more college and career ready and become tomorrow's leaders.
Technology is such an essential and important tool and for today's learners. Today's learning comes in a variety of different ways. Students can access technology such as Google Classroom, IXL, Achieve3000, EPIC, NewsELA, LearnZillion, and CNN10 Student News. These are just a few enhancements of learning through technology.
