Learning Through Technology

Help me give my students Amazon Kindle Fires. This will allow for them to collaborate, extend their research, and pursue further inquiry. Students love being able to investigate and this will provide them the opportunity.

My Students

As a teacher in a rural area, the students do not always have the same opportunities as those in different parts of our state do. Many of my students face multiple challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with meaningful learning opportunities. The students are from an area that our states educational system has neglected and we want to change that by allowing them to discover and take ownership in their learning. Majority of the students are from low income families, in a low income county. My students are always eager to learn and discover new ideas and ways of learning. I want to be sure that I am pushing them to meet their potential growth academically and within themselves by providing them with the necessary tools to do this.

My Project

Technology is continually growing and students are becoming more hooked and are able to learn many different skills through this type of learning. It opens many doors for students that they wouldn’t get without it. These Kindles would provide many opportunities for my students who need different ways to learn. It open doors that might not be possible without it. Currently, we have more students than technology available. My students learning can enhance if they are given this opportunity. They are always eager to learn and grow. Please help my students find success and display growth by providing them with more technology in our classroom.
