Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school currently houses Pre-K through 8th Grade students in a very diverse and urban setting. These students often face many challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Technology is a great tool that can be used to help students get more involved. Currently my classroom houses 7 computers for three different sections of students. Some classroom laptops, in addition to these would help my students excel in their mathematic fluency and skills!
My 5th grade students are eager to learn and are very motivated!
Having these laptops will help reach all of the diverse learners in my classroom. It will give the students the opportunity to jump into 21st century learning!
My Project
Currently in my classroom my students have access to only 7 computers with a class sizes of at least twenty five. It is very difficult for each student to have usage of technology during each day. Technology is such a huge part of our world and my students could greatly benefit from having these additional laptops in our classroom.
My students need these laptops to help reach their individual learning styles and needs!
There are many Math programs that the students could use every day such as TenMarks, Khan Academy, and SuccessMaker. These programs help my students do work on their own individual level, while working towards completing skills that are needed to be on grade level.
