This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Many of my students are on the autism spectrum and or have an intellectual disability on top of coming from an economically disadvantaged environment. Many parents and families struggle to provide school supplies although they want to provide the best school experience for their children.
My students are excited to learn and experience new things but we need your help with that!
We are excited to learn our numbers, shapes, arithmetic and loads of hands-on science projects! We need an enriching and fun-loving environment to learn and grow. Thank you for all of your help and support.
My Project
These iPads will help some students communicate as well as engage in learning in our classroom. I currently use my personal iPad to help with mastering goals with learning apps and is used as an incentive.
I have read multiple articles about how iPads have helped students grow in the areas of communication, social skills, and with academics.
Students enjoy multimedia presentations of the weekly skill and enjoy showing their understanding of the lesson with the iPad. Please help me achieve our goal with helping both nonverbal and verbal ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) students in the 2nd -3rd grade. I appreciate your time and consideration.
