My fifth grade class is full of amazing students who are eager to learn. My students thrive learning through technology. My students are located in inner city Worcester where all my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. As a teacher, I have come to understand that there is no extra funds at home to be providing supplies, materials or technology.
As a teacher I want to provide everything I possibly can to create a successful, safe and enjoyable learning environment.
My Project
Every school year comes with a new group of students and learners. This year, I have a group of students who rely on auditory cues to be successful in the classroom. Many students rely on auditory repetition in order to complete assignments, projects & texts.
In my classroom, I have an array of different types of learners, this project focuses specifically on my auditory learners, who tend to learn better when the subject matter is reinforced by sound.
By providing every student with a pair of headphones, this will allow for routine, consistency & rigor with my student's learning and growth. I have students who will be able to express their thoughts through sound using the microphone attachment provided in some of the headphone I hope to receive!
