My school is rich in diversity and offers an array of programming options and services. This includes both English Language Instruction, and Dual- Language Immersion Instruction, Special Education, Deaf/ Hard of Hearing and 4k programming. The student population is made up of more than eight neighborhoods in the Madison area and come from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. We serve a diverse community of learners, with over 70% of our students living in poverty. We are also unique in that minority cultures make up not only the majority of my classroom but also the majority of our school population. My students are an energetic group, with a passion for learning and taking on challenges.
All of our students want to continue to learn and grow. Whether learning is online or in the classroom, students need modeling and visual to be successful. The easel would allow my student to observe my thought process by demonstrating on the whiteboard or chart paper. Students could also come up to the easel to show their thinking.
By donating to our project, you will help students succeed by making learning visible.
The easel will also become home to anchor charts. Anchor charts provide information to support the lesson, or a reminder of the expectations, routines or procedures. Thank you for your support in providing my students with the best learning environment.
