My Students

My students are creative, curious, thoughtful and full of great questions! They love hands-on, engaging projects that challenge them to think outside of the norm and allow them to show what they are learning about in real world situations. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best varies greatly from each child! I give my students a variety of learning strategies, group work and learning options to ensure that each of my student's have the opportunity to learn in a way that works for them.

My Project

My students love American History. However, with the challenge of trying to teach students the curriculum in a fun, engaging way sometimes proves to be a lot harder than it looks.

I just took a Professional Development class on making American History more interesting through using LEGOS and I am so excited to give my students the opportunity to express themselves and what they have learned through "playing" with LEGOS.

Every student that I have ever taught loves to play with LEGOS and to bring them into the classroom for something other than coding or an inside recess is really exciting to me and I can't wait to give my students this opportunity! They are going to love it!!
