This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students should have access to sports equipment to help them hone their athleticism and sense of community during their recesses! Our students benefit from brain breaks, and, like all children, LPA students love to have fun! Funding for my project would provide students with equipment for a variety of activities to engage in during recess and outdoor breaks from class. When students have athletic activities to engage in, they learn so many valuable social skills, such as teamwork, resilience, goal setting, and self-discipline. All materials I've requested will be housed in our office and be used for each of the 3rd-8th grade lunch recess periods.
