My kindergartners are excited learners who love to move and play! They attend an all day kindergarten class in a rural community. Their day consists of literacy, math, science, music, and art. Some of my students are at the scribbling stages, while others are ready to write words and sentences! They want to be more involved with their learning and have as many hands on experiences as they can!
My kindergartners are enthusiastic and always moving once they step in our room.
My Project
We will use the magnetic tiles, dominoes, and squigz to embrace the students' creativity. They will be able to use their imaginations building tracks for cars, castles, towers, etc.
The cash register will be used in our housekeeping area to help my kindergartners learn about money.
They will be able to pretend they are in an actual restaurant by "paying" for their food with the money. This will help them work on their number recognition also!
I feel my kindergartners are learning so much through hands on activities and play with their classmates everyday in our classroom. They love the freedom to move around the room during this time.
