Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a Title 1 school in Texas. I have 39 wonderful, 3-year-olds. My students come in eager to learn everyday. They are a group of enthusiastic, creative, and curious learners. Our classroom is a place where them come to explore and try new things. It is also a place where they come to be loved. I love how unique each and every one of them are. I love how we become a family who cheer on each other’s successes. They may be small but their hearts are big. They make me a better person everyday.
My Project
These resources would be utilized during centers with my students. Learning through play is so important for young learners. It creates time for students to work together and build relationships with teachers and their peers. Play allows them to explore and ask questions. They need to be exposed to many different learning resources to be able to make important connections. Having a classroom full of interactive materials allows them to make those connections. Fostering a love for school at a young age will help them be successful learners as they continue on their educational paths. I want my students to leave me excited for what is next.
