Learning Through “Osmo”sis

My Students

My students are amazing! They are full of excitement and wonder in all academic areas. Like all children, they love to learn, move, dance, talk, and sing! My students love to share stories about their friends, families, and pets. They are high spirited and have wonderful giving hearts.

We have strong parent involvement, and it makes our school a great place to learn and grow!

We are a small, midwestern town full of life and our school is the heart of our community!

My Project

Technology is a huge part of every student’s life. With the help of Osmo, my students can be actively engaged in math and literacy skills using the iPad technology that already exists in our classroom. The Osmo attaches to an iPad and turns it into an interactive learning activity. Students can play individually or in partners to practice math and literacy skills taught in our first grade classroom. The Osmo system has a camera that interacts with the manipulatives the student uses or the drawing the student creates. Students will benefit immensely from the everyday practice the Osmo offers them!
