My third-grade classroom resides in a Title I school in Arizona.
The students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. My students thrive on having access to computer technology and they are motivated to learn with the use of online educational resources. They enjoy collaborating with their peers on research projects, exploring computer programming with the Hour of Code and engaging in individualized instruction in subjects across the curriculum using Zearn, Moby Max, Prodigy, Freckle, Typing Club, and Read Theory. Access to technology allows my students to satisfy their insatiable curiosity and take control of their own learning journey. Your donations would mean the world to my students.
My Project
My students need access to Detective Agency and Coding Jam games to gain access to the limitless educational opportunities for growth in math, geography, and deductive reasoning skills available through the Osmo hands-on learning program. Osmo devices provide meaningful, relevant, and engaging exploratory learning experiences using reality-based activities. The Osmo platform enables the students to problem solve and think critically with engaging computer software and manipulative materials. As an S.T.E.A.M. school, we incorporate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to teach children academic standards and 21st Century life-skills. The Osmo device embodies all of these disciplines in a visually engaging learning tool.
Students will have opportunities to use their deductive thinking and observation skills in the Detective Agency game.
They will also be able to show their creative side in Coding Jam as they code their own music using the Osmo game. The Osmo learning tool will supply visually engaging activities that will cultivate their minds and provide meaningful learning experiences with the digital advantages of real-time feedback.
