Help me give my students the opportunity to explore and learn basic skills. My students learn best through sensory methods. They enjoy exploring textures, seeing bold photographs and bright colors.
The students in my class are multi handicapped. They each have unique strengths and weaknesses. They are nonverbal and require assistance to their daily basic needs. My students come into the room with big smiles and enjoy the individual attention my assistants and me give them.
The students in my class learn best through the five senses; touch, smell, hear, see and taste.
Some students are tube fed only so we do not have them use their sense of taste.
I like to have multiple sensory learning in my classroom.
My Project
The students in my class learn best through exploring with their senses. The students in my class are multihandicapped. They are precious students aged 5-7 years old, nonverbal and in wheelchairs.
The items I am requesting will help my students to develop basic skills by exploring textures, making comparisons and learning through their sense of touch.
The students in my class receive instruction from physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Each student has unique needs and functions well below their same age peers. They require an alternative curriculum to meet all academic needs. The students are dependent on others for all their personal needs.
