My students need ink to make schedules and posters for them to learn through the year.
With the rising cost of ink and the decreasing school budgets, we are unable to keep our kids learning at the best it can be.
I work with a very special group of kids with varying functionality and cognitive issues including autism, ADHD and seizures, but that doesn't stop them from surpassing their difficulties and achieving new skills.
They attend a public school so, as you know, the decreasing budgets are an issue. But that doesn't stop my kids from wanting to learn.
Many of the students have varying issues that require the use of visual schedules and colored learning sheets. These schedules are important to help them transition from task to task. The students work on many life skills and need hands-on items for this purpose. With the use of the ink, this will allow our resources to be used for other in class activities. Those include supplies for learning how to do household chores(cooking, cleaning, etc.) We don't have enough money in the budget to make color copies or buy new learning materials.
I am always wanting to give my students the best learning environment that I possibly can.
Last year, I spent over $2000 of my personal funds to help run a program that effectively meets the needs of my special learners. Any funds to assist these champion kids would be appreciated.
