My students need the Lakeshore smart pencil to use with the alphabet smart interactive learning cards. They also need the numbers and counting magnetic tins for math time!
A typical day in our classroom is full of learning, laughter, and love. We work on working together positively and we work on respecting others often. We are learning our letters, our sounds, we count to 100, and we love to play by engaging with our whole bodies during centers!
My students are wonderful pre-k babies!
They are 4 and 5 year olds who love to learn and are eager to be at school. We are their first stop on their educational journey and we want to make sure that they have the best experience. Our school fosters many different learning styles such as: Reggio, Montessori, family style dining, and hands on learning. Our students love to engage in learning with their whole bodies and they love to feel and be independent.
My Project
My students will be using the smart pen from Lakeshore in small groups or at centers independently. I will be able to focus activities around their specific needs and they will be able to learn their letters and sound by using the pen to tell them what letter it is. This pen will be able to allow them to work independently and confidently. We will be focusing on learning to recognize and produce rhymes, identifying uppercase and lowercase letters, isolating beginning and ending sounds, at furthering our phonetic abilities.
The phonetic and mathematics magnetic bins will also be used in small groups. The children will be able to work on specific concepts - such as rhyming, letter matching, isolating beginning sounds, 1:1 correspondence in math, and simple matching numbers and adding. These concepts will be used in small groups and in centers.
By donating to our project our classroom will be full of learners who not only furthered their knowledge, but are excited to do so!
They will come to school wanting to learn and play with these new materials! This will make them see learning as something that is fun and exciting instead of something they "have" to be doing.
