Learning Through Listening

My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds, with baggage, and barriers that could stop them from coming to school. However, my students are eager to go to school, strive for their goals, and ready to learn and have fun!

In my classroom, the students are risk takers striving to develop problem solving skills.

We focus on using STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) curriculum so that students can apply their skills in the real world. The classroom community learns and grows together!

My Project

Headphones, a new book, and a lamp are three things that fit together perfectly to create an environment of readers! My class reads every day for an hour. On top of a read aloud and independent reading, we use Get Epic for reading. We need headphones to help us better focus on the books we are listening to.

Who doesn't love a new book?

My students enjoy read aloud time. This is a time to relax, and listen to a book that they might not be able to read on their own. We have a love for 'The Day the Crayons Quit.' Some of us dressed us as the crayons for Halloween. It is only perfect for the holiday season that is coming up that we can cozy up with a new book, by a lamp for the season!
