Learning through Listening, Fidgeting and Engaging
My students need quality, durable headphones that can withstand Kinder and first grade use, along with flexible seating options and a variety of fidgets to help keep them focused and engaged throughout the day.
I have a wonderful group of curious, imaginative, and motivated first graders, all very eager to play and learn. Each child comes to school every day with excitement and energy for learning. I teach students who speak multiple languages and have students with special needs in my classroom. Each child has specific learning needs, so I am hopeful that these materials will enable each child to access learning in their own way. Keeping my students active and engaged is critical to their success in our classroom community, so having more seating options, fidgets and durable headphones will enable them to do just that!
My Project
These materials will allow my students to focus on their learning in a busy, bustling classroom. With durable headphones, students will be able to listen to reading and grow in their literacy skills without being interrupted by other learning happening around the classroom. The fidgets will allow them to move while learning, which is critical for their academic and socio-emotional learning and growth. With flexible seating options, students will be able to choose their own learning space, building autonomy and allowing them to spread out around the classroom as necessary. I am looking forward to seeing my students grow and flourish with these new resources!
