My students need Lego simple machines sets to help them better understand our 3rd grade Science standards.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
We are an inner city school, where almost 50% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. Our school has fabulous families, a superstar staff, a caring community, and most importantly, amazing kids! Each day these kids come to school with big smiles on their faces, huge hugs to share, and loads of enthusiasm!
Some of my students travel by bus, a great distance, to be able to learn at our school.
I want to provide the materials needed to engage my students at the level they deserve!
Legos have been used to engage children of all ages for decades. I would love to create high levels of engagement in my classroom using Legos to teach my students about simple and powered machines. Our third grade science curriculum allows students to explore different types of simple and compound machines. I would like to take this study a step further by providing Lego sets that will allow students to build their own simple machines. Engineering and problem solving skills will be used when students are creating these machines in small groups with their classmates. We would be so thankful to any donations to this cause!
