Learning Through Hands-on Fun and Technology

Help me give my students the tools they need to be successful through SEL books and activities, math manipulatives, TIME for Kids, and Fire tablets to give them access to a greater library of just right books.

My Project

My students are kind, caring, amazing, and most of all, inspiring. They have powered through the past two years of COVID-19 learning but unfortunately have fallen a little short on some of their academic and normal, everyday skills.

Some of the resources requested will help to enhance my class's SEL through read-alouds and fun activities to work on their growth mindset as well as their executive functioning skills.

These resources will also help to enhance our math small group activities by having students learn using fun math manipulatives as well as math games. My students could also really benefit from using the dry erase pockets and pens to practice different math skills and playing math games without needing to make multiple copies of the same worksheet or activity.

I have also requested Fire tablets for my classroom. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I have students who are reading at two levels below grade level. I, unfortunately, do not have access to books that are just right for all of my students due to our school library still being closed because of COVID-19. Having these tablets will give me the resources to work with each student in small groups while providing them with reading materials that are at their specific levels. Students will also be able to use these tablets to access different STEAM activities as well as other digital resources.

The last amazing resource that we will receive through this project will be the TIME for Kids subscription. It will give my class real world grade, age appropriate informational texts for them to explore and learn from. Thank you in advance for helping us gain access to these amazing materials.
