Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My inner city three and four-year-olds are very energetic, loving, and extremely curious.

They enjoy coming to school on a daily basis and are eager to learn about each other and the world around them.

My role as their teacher is to ensure that they have fun while providing them with ample opportunities so they can develop emotionally, physically, and socially.

My classroom is in need of a new kitchen area. The play kitchen that we currently own is falling apart. This area is so popular among my students. While students are in this area, they are learning to develop social skills, math skills, and best of all they are role-playing what happens in the real world. This will allow my students the opportunity to pretend cook food for family and friends. Sitting down at mealtime and having reciprocal conversations is an integral learning time for everyone. Having the ability to practice these skills at school will transfer over to their homes where they will be able to engage in reciprocal conversations with family members and friends.

Please help me provide my amazing preschoolers with a new kitchen, pretend food, and the dishes and pots and pans to go along with it.
