My Students

I am currently a second grade teacher working with 21 amazing second grade students in Los Angeles, California. Each and every one of my students is sweet, fun, and creative in their own unique ways. They are eager to learn whatever it is that I am willing to share. I truly believe that it is important to provide my class with additional resources in order to meet the needs of all students and to keep them engaged in the curriculum.

My Project

I am requesting a one year subscription to BrainPOP Jr. to introduce new concepts to my students and/or to help reteach concepts that may need more reinforcement. The BrainPOP Jr. website is easy to use and allows educators to search for different topics in various content areas to help their students learn and grow. BrainPOP Jr is a fun and playful learning tool that uses games, animated videos, interactive quizzes, and other activities to engage students.

As we watch the animated videos, I am able to pause and ask my students questions in order to check for understanding.

They are able to think about the question or the information, pair up with a partner, and finally share with the class. By doing so, I am holding each student accountable for their learning. BrainPOP Jr. does an amazing job at really making learning fun, engaging, and interactive.
