I teach a diverse group of amazing, eager, energetic students who come from a variety of backgrounds. I have ELL students, students with IEPs, and more than 50% qualify for the free and reduced-price lunch assistance program. They all, however, have the same desire to learn new things in a supportive environment.
In my classroom, students’ imaginations are ignited!
It is my goal to instill a love of learning. The diversity of our students is an advantage, as we are able to share ideas and thoughts from many different cultures. This diversity helps us as we work together in groups.
We are a group of learners who support each other and work together to learn in our best way possible. We often learn by doing and creating, focusing on the process as we go. We think, discuss, and work hard, as we prepare to be lifelong learners.
My Project
Whether we are learning from home or from school, I would like students to have art supplies so they can use their creativity. I love to use art after reading books so students can show their learning in a variety of ways.
Students learn best by doing and creating!
Students can show their learning by writing and illustrating a story a or by creating a sculpture. When students are actively engaged they are using their skills and putting their knowledge to the test.
Hands on learning is a way for students to show what they have learned in a concrete way.
