Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a fun and energetic group who come from diverse backgrounds. They truly care about our world and want to make a difference. Their ideas and creativity are endless, and I want to give them an outlet to use these assets to help us all.
My students are problem solvers and are ready to take on the world one challenge at a time.
My students are our future, and they are worth investing our time, resources, and money.
My Project
These place value manipulatives will allow my students to have hands on experiences that teach them the value of money. The large magnetic place value blocks will allow me to teach the whole class about the value of money and then they will be used in a station for students to use independently. The place value flip charts will allow students to break apart numbers and figure out their value.
My students are just beginning to understand the value of money and these tools will help them learn the value of a dollar and much more.
They will be counting money and spending it wisely very soon with your help.
