Ms. Bullock from Henderson NC is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a Go Pro camera, a Fire Tablet, and an Echo Dot to bring their learning experiences to life. We are looking into creating video projects as we learn new and exciting things in the classroom.

"Preparing kids for the 21 century; WAIT! We are in the 21st century people!"
As the Multi-Classroom leader of first graders at our wonderful school; I oversee 65 first graders daily.
Our students are a part of a Title I school in which every student receives free lunch. Our students love hands on experiences and have a real passion for learning. We are expecting this project to take our kids to the next level, as they become young intellectual adults ready to tackle this great big world
Students will get a chance to create videos, website, podcast, and fun items using technology in the classroom. Students will be able to share ideas, presentations, blogs, or music.
Using digital portfolios and creating an environment where students can be creative and productive while learning will be a great experience for them all.
-The Go Pro will be used for classroom recordings so that students can create digital portfolios. If they are sharing a demonstration or notes, students can update their recordings in to their google classroom for sharing. As the teacher this would also be great for video conferencing.
-With the Echo Dot, Alexa will help us in every day activities, such as, using this device as a classroom timer, to discover the weather, and defining unknown words, and random number generator for classroom participation.
-The tablet will allow are students to create videos and blogs about their learning experience all in one spot, using apps such as padlet and do ink. Our students also can use this tablet for Raz Kids and Kahoot.
In our class we are looking forward to improving learning engagement, knowledge retention, encouraging individual learning, student group collaboration, and useful life skills that they can take with them as they grow and further their education.
