Mr. JOHN from West Roxbury MA is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need music theory software to heighten the learning experience in the classroom.

My students are from diverse cultures. They came to the Boston area from many foreign countries. I believe that some of the great music artist are hidden in some of our student population.
Most of my students are from households that cannot afford private music lessons, and would not have had access to music education apart from our school.
My students are very excited about our music program and would be even more excited if we were to have the necessary music software that could expose them to the elements of music in a fun way.
My students would be excited for the opportunity to sit at a computer to create, experience and explore the elements of music, through the use of the music education software. I believe that the use of technology would level the playing field for all students.
My students would be able to work at their own pace, being able to go over exercises until they have a good understanding of the elements of music that they are working on.
Some students would also be able to team up with others to use the music software to work on creative projects, thus developing their collaborative and social skills.
