Learning the Basics of Sewing in Elementary School
My students need the monogram machine in order to put their initials in their clothes especially jackets people steal their jackets and these poor students don't have the money to replace.
My students are awesome they are very unique in character. I spend probably more time with them than a lot of their parents. They love a challenge and are always willing to lend a hand. At the beginning of the year I tell everyone of them we are all one big family with lots of brother and sisters. These children look out for one another and are always there to help each other. I love my job and all my children as if they were my own. I let them know they can always come to me with anything and we can work out the problem whether good or bad nothing is ever to bad not to tell me. I am their best friend
My Project
The monogram machine is to put their initials nicely on their clothes so other people in school don't take them.
My students need to learn life skills in order to survive in the real world when they are out on their own.
We are starting a life skills class with our students with this we are teaching them the basics of sewing. So many adults don't even know how to sew on a button. I want my students to be independent so they can do stuff on their own.
My students are struggling with everyday needs so wherever I can help them I want to make a difference not only for today but for their future.
