This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kindergarten students are very excitable. We spend our days learning to read, write, and count, but also how to love, respect, and share. We work on ELA, math, science, and social studies daily. We are going to master reading as well as achieve dreams!
They love to learn and can make an adventure of mostly anything!
We cherish our memorable moments, such as hands-on experiences and edible experiments. I am not afraid to laugh or be laughed at and this connection of laughter keeps us close.
My students are in an area that needs a lot of attention. The children need the effort, the love, and the opportunity to succeed in the most imaginable way ever!
My Project
My students want snacks, crafts, and fun! The children need excitement as they are curious and observant. They enjoy touching and exploring through their instructional day.
My students will benefit greatly from this project as it covers their snacking needs as well as hands-on activities through PLAY-DOH and crafts.
Children retain information better when the moments spent learning are memorable. The crafts allow them an artsy break from rigor, but developmental activities keep them growing. The playdough will be incorporated across all subjects as the children need to create. They will make numbers in math, and letters in phonics. I am confident that this project will assist them in their educational journey and extend beyond this class year into others as well.
