Learning That Letters Make Words

My students need one set of 3-Letter Word Builders, one set of 4-Letter Word Builders, and three sets of Twist & Turn Phonics Word Builders.

I teach at a large school in North Carolina where we have a diverse population of children. About one-third of my students are learning English as their second language.

My reading block class consists of students who are on the pass/fail bubble and are in need of extra help. It is my responsibility to work with each child on his/her individual ability level in order to help them grow as a reader.

I would like to provide my students an alternative way to develop their reading skills. I found the following fabulous resources to help them: 3-Letter Word Builders, 4-Letter Word Builders, and Twist & Turn Phonics Word Builders. The students will be able to form word after word with fun-to-use word builders. They will just turn the permanently attached beads to sound out words letter by letter—from simple words to 4-letter words that include blends, digraphs & more. The students will be able to build words and phonics skills sound by sound! The word builders will also provide the students focused practice with beginning, ending, and long/short vowel sounds. The best part is that the students will be having so much fun making new words that they will forget that they are also learning.
