Our school is a Title I school consisting of low-income children with diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Every morning, the students eat breakfast together in the classroom. From that moment on, their day is full of educational activities geared toward their individual learning needs.
I have a group of excited low-income students who thrive with hands-on active lessons.
They love to discuss what we are learning with each other. The students in the class care for and take care of each other. In many ways, this classroom is their family.
Every morning, during our literacy block, the students will use the tablets to help create research projects and access educational websites to bolster their math and reading skills. The students will also use the tablets for e-books that expose them to various types of literature.
Due to most of my students living in low income homes, they do not have the access to technology that most of us enjoy.
Your donation will provide my students with the tools to help them improve both math and reading skills. My students need four tablets with protective cases to help reinforce reading and math skills. These tablets will enable the students to learn how to use technology and launch them into the 21st Century.
