My school is full of multicultural events throughout the school year. My parents and students work hard to maintain their culture. Parents have various ethnic backgrounds and families from India, China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Korea. My parents are supportive, respectful, and helpful. I have student families who greatly value the quality of education for their children and appreciate the time and effort put in.
My students love to read, write, and create.
They are bright children with great motivation who come to school every day ready to learn. They have a great desire to succeed. We do this by displaying their work nicely on the walls for a positive classroom environment. The students at my school are friendly, encouraging, and helpful to others. They are curious about the world around them. I have student jobs for each of my students to encourage independence.
In the classroom, we would put the supplies to great use. I would greatly appreciate your support and generosity towards my classroom supplies. Thank you so much!
My Project
I am requesting items from Best Buy. I am asking for an iPad Air to use on a daily basis to find resources, such as TPT, to use in class and help improve student learning with subjects in language arts and math primarily. Students can use the iPad in class to use Think Central, Lexia, or IXL. The iPad can also be used for research on history and science projects.
I am also asking for an Apple TV to provide more educational media for the students.
I have coworkers who have an Apple TV in their classroom and they find it very helpful to improve learning for the students in various academic areas. By using an Apple TV (and connecting it to my current classroom television), there is more access of engaging video resources to help students gain more background knowledge in history, science, language, reading, and writing. There are many projects in 4th grade and it is important to show educational videos that will engage students about a topic.
