Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"To have another language is to possess a second soul" Charlemagne. Many of our students speak Spanish, but many don't. There is a communication gap within our school population which can be helped by using these materials.

Our students are making friends with others with different languages, and there is a problem with communication.

They tend to be friendly with those they can speak their language and it takes time for some of them to feel comfortable with speaking English or understanding some of the teaching staff.

My Project

The English-speaking students and staff can learn to speak and understand Spanish in the Media Center or classroom with the Rosetta Stone program. The Spanish music CD is wonderful for the students of both cultures to share and enjoy together. This will enable them to begin to feel comfortable with speaking to our Spanish-speaking students and staff. This will also help them out in the real world.

I expect that students will be more respectful and friendly with others with a different background and language.

They will also be able to communicate with others in their community.
