Learning Spanish Through a Fantastic Drawing and Writing Package Project
Help me give my students drawing and writing material to create posters and booklets with the purpose of applying Spanish concepts such as: vocabulary, verb conjugation and grammar structure.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income Title I school, I can see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences to help prepare them for a better future. My students are creative and clever, and they enjoy working on projects. Many of them are being raised in single parent household. Their socioeconomic status, most likely prevents them from acquiring the school supplies needed for their education. Seeing their potential, moves me to look for opportunities to inspire them to walk on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
Students will be able to use classroom supplies on their Spanish learning package project that includes mini-projects such as: "Family ," "Daily Routines," "Going Shopping," "My Monster," "My Hero," "Building a House," "The Geometrical Shapes," and "The Water Cycle." Legal size paper will be used to make booklets to illustrate and write words and sentences to tell stories or tales. Pencils, color pencils, glues, stickers, markers will be used to illustrate or to write. Poster boards will be used for drawing.
The material needed for this package project will give students the opportunity to apply their imagination and creativity, both vital concepts for their learning process.
